At the very heart of our Women's Ministries is our desire for all women to enjoy a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to know that they will spend eternity in heaven. With this confidence, regardless of the circumstances of life, they can experience abundant living, inner peace, and true joy.

It is wonderful to realize that the Bible was written so that we can know that we are going to heaven.

"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."
(1 John 5:13)

Here's how we can know. We must first realize that the heart of the problem is our sin.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
(Romans 3:23)

This simply means that no one is perfect. We all have fallen short of God's perfection. Because God is perfect and just, he must punish sin.

"For the wages of sin is death..."
(Romans 6:23a)

The punishment for our sin is death. This death is eternal separation from God. But God is not only just, He is also merciful and has made a way to solve this problem of sin through the person of Jesus Christ.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
" (Romans 6:23)

You see, God loved us so much that, even though we are all sinners, He sent His perfect Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin. In this way, God made eternal life available to us as a gift. (It is not something that we can earn by our own efforts.)

This wonderful gift must be accepted by faith - not simply by knowing the facts, but by surrendering to Jesus Christ alone for eternal life.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
life.
"  (John 3:16)

If you acknowledge that you are a sinner, and believe with all your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, you can receive the gift of eternal life and be saved from eternal punishment. Even now, if you will trust Jesus to save you, you can pray a simple prayer like this.

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins. I believe that You died on the cross to take my punishment. Right now, as sincerely as I know how, I ask You to forgive my sin. I put my complete trust in You. Thank You for Your free gift of salvation. Help me to live now in a way that shows my gratitude for all You have done. Amen!

If you have prayed this prayer, you no longer have to wonder if you are going to heaven. You have put your trust in Christ, and God promises...

"For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
(Romans 10:13)

If you prayed this prayer, we want to rejoice with you! Please e-mail Pearl or call the church at (859) 491-1955 to let us know of your decision. We would also like to send you information that will help you as a new Christian.
