ETS Groups
Wednesdays ~ 7:00 P.M.
January 13 ~ May 5, 2010
What are ETS Groups?
ETS groups (Equipping The Saints) are adult electives and/or small groups which meet weekly to provide help in specific areas of the Christian life.
Many ETS groups meet on Wednesday evening while children are involved in the Children’s Ministries at Calvary.
The goal of the ETS ministry is to help believers grow strong in their faith. Our ETS groups are designed to help make a Connection, which is one of the 5 Pillars of Spiritual Growth.
Those who get involved in one of the ETS groups below will be encouraged with the progress they see in their lives.
Don’t Worry, Be Happy!...Sanctuary
It has been said that, “Success is not the key to happiness; happiness is the key to success.” But how does one attain true happiness? During this 12-week, expository, verse by verse, study of the book of Philippians, Pastor Davenport will explore how we can experience true happiness. If you are in search of some happiness in your life, come join us for this encouraging time around God’s Word.

The Great Adventure (Men’s Study)...E-15
This highly recommended men’s series explores a man and his world beyond the everyday. The Great Adventure creates a vision for a man’s future and destiny helping men rediscover some of the adventure in life through a greater understanding of who they are. As men uncover the uniqueness they have as men they begin to discover a satisfying life focus. Throughout the course of the Men’s Fraternity studies, men have been learning how to clearly define manhood. With many practical applications in this series, we urge all of our men to make every effort to carve out some time on Wednesday evenings to join us.
Life Café (College Age Adults)...College House
The Blazing Center - The Soul-Satisfying Supremacy of God in All Things– Led by Pastor Bill and Melody Dickens, this John Piper study reminds us that everything revolves around God. And as the most valuable and glorious person who exists, God is loving, not conceited, when He calls us to worship Him. His pursuit of glory and our pursuit of joy are not at odds -- because God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.
The Way of the Master – Intermediate Course...E-03
(This class will begin on Wednesday, February 3.) Based on the award winning TV series "The Way of the Master" by Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort, the Intermediate Training Course is a continuation of the Basic Training Course and builds upon the foundational teachings already covered in the first course. These sessions will add critical framework to your foundation by teaching such things as how to avoid the devastating pitfalls of producing false conversions, how to prove the existence of hell, and how to witness to someone who is a homosexual. Greg and Catherine Myers will lead a discussion and prayer time following each video presentation.
