AWANA is a Wednesday night club program for children of Calvary and their friends age 2 through grade 6. AWANA stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15) and has a three segment action-packed program format of Game Time, a small group Handbook time with individual encouragement and Council Time. Keen competition throughout the program gives great emphasis to Scripture memorization and encourages clubbers to memorize hundreds of verses. Clubbers are rewarded for their achievement as they progress through their handbooks.

Bring your children to one of these six clubs which meet during the school year (from September through May) each Wednesday from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Nearly 100 trained workers (a ratio of one worker for every three children) are prepared to receive and disciple your child!

Cubbies (coed ages 3,4)
Sparks
(coed K, 1, 2)
T&T (grades 3-5)

Cubbies is the Awana coed preschool club for the 3s and 4s. what makes Cubbies unique is the way parents are involved as the primary source of spiritual nurturing by being directly involved in the teaching and learning process. This club uses the fundamental Awana elements of games and activities, Bible memorization, handbooks, and awards. Non-competitive games and activities and developmentally appropriate lessons combine basic Bible truths with popular preschool concepts of colors, shapes, numbers, and letters.

Sparks is the club for children in kindergarten through grade two. Each club meeting has three segments. In Game Time Sparkies enjoy entertaining and unique Awana games played on a special Awana game circle. In Green Meadow Time, Sparkies gather for their age-appropriate Bible lesson, singing, and awards. In Sparkle Time, the children meet in small groups to recite Bible verses from memory, complete handbook sections, and earn awards. Sparky, the friendly firefly, appears throughout the Bible based materials to encourage clubbers to complete their handbook achievements.
